Soft Washing Service

Power Washing vs. Soft Washing

For our House Wash Service we prefer to use a Soft Wash method of cleaning. Soft washing is a method of cleaning exterior surfaces that involves using a low-pressure water stream and a cleaning solution to remove dirt, grime, algae, mold, and other types of stains. We use this method on vinyl siding, painted cedar siding, stucco, dryvit, azak, delicate brick surfaces, window seals, soffits and almost all other exterior surfaces.

The process of soft washing involves applying a cleaning solution to the surface to be cleaned using a specialized soft wash system. Then allowing it to dwell, or sit for a period of time to break down the stains and dirt, and then rinsing it off with a low-pressure water stream. The cleaning solution is usually made up of a combination of water, surfactants, and specific chemicals that are designed to be effective at removing the different types of stains present, without damaging the surface being cleaned.

Power washing, also known as pressure washing, is a method of cleaning surfaces using a high-pressure water. It is a mechanical cleaning method that relies simply on the pressure of the water to remove dirt, grime, and other surface contaminants. We use this on concrete surfaces such as sidewalks, driveways, patios and pool decks. For this application we generally use a surface cleaner or a high pressure tip known as a turbo nozzle.

Power washing used to be the main cleaning method until soft washing was introduced. Soft washing is safer for the home and the work environment  becasue soft washing can be done up to four floors from the ground  which limits ladder work.  This makes the cleaning faster and allows for a more thorough cleaning. Many homeowners are shocked at how clean their home is.
